CERTIFICATE IN RESEARCH, MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING (RMEL) AT CLARITY PEAK COLLEGE
Programme Description
The Certificate in Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (RMEL) at Clarity Peak College is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to conduct applied research, design and manage monitoring and evaluation systems, collect and manage digital data, perform statistical analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics, and communicate evidence effectively for informed decision-making.
The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of research, Results-Based Management (RBM), programme monitoring, evaluation, and organisational learning across public, private, academic, and development sectors. Participants develop competencies in research design, logical framework development, indicator development, digital data collection, data quality management, statistical analysis, interpretation of findings, and professional reporting using internationally recognised methodologies and industry-standard software.
Through interactive lectures, practical computer laboratory sessions, field-based exercises, case studies, and an applied capstone project, participants gain hands-on experience in managing the complete research and evaluation lifecycle—from problem identification and study design to data collection, statistical analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of findings.
The programme is suitable for professionals working in government institutions, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), humanitarian agencies, research institutions, educational institutions, private enterprises, and community-based organisations, as well as graduates seeking specialised skills in research, monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis.
Graduates will be well prepared to support evidence-based planning, programme implementation, performance measurement, policy development, organisational learning, and strategic decision-making across diverse sectors while establishing a strong foundation for further academic study and professional advancement in research, monitoring and evaluation, data analytics, and related disciplines.
