Clarity Peak College – Admission Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Admission Policy is to establish a transparent, fair, and academically rigorous framework for selecting students into all Associate Degree programs at Clarity Peak College. The policy ensures that incoming students possess the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for success in highly demanding, practice-oriented programs.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all applicants seeking admission to:
Associate Degree in Computer Science
Associate Degree in Civil Engineering
Associate Degree in Economics
Associate Degree in Financial Accounting
Any future undergraduate programs offered by the College
3. Eligibility Requirements
3.1 Academic Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following:
A High School Diploma, Secondary School Certificate, or equivalent recognized credential.
Completion of a recognized pre-university foundation program in relevant subjects.
3.2 Core Knowledge Areas
All applicants must demonstrate competency in:
Mathematics (algebra, arithmetic, basic statistics, calculus foundation where applicable)
Science (physics, chemistry, or relevant applied sciences depending on program)
English Language (reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills)
Note: Certificates provided by the applicant are considered but do not exempt them from College entrance testing. Admission is contingent upon passing the College-administered assessment.
4. Admission Testing
4.1 Mandatory Entrance Exam
All applicants must sit for a Clarity Peak College Entrance Exam (CPCEE) comprising:
Mathematics Assessment – testing quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Science Assessment – program-specific:
For STEM programs: physics, chemistry, applied sciences
For Economics & Accounting: quantitative reasoning, applied economic/science concepts
English Assessment – grammar, comprehension, writing, and professional communication readiness
4.2 Test Format
Duration: 2–3 hours
Format: Multiple-choice questions, short-answer, and problem-solving exercises
Passing threshold: Minimum 60% overall, with at least 50% in each component
4.3 Precedence of Test Results
Performance on the CPCEE takes precedence over previous academic records. Applicants who meet eligibility based on certificates but fail the entrance exam will not be admitted, irrespective of prior qualifications.
5. Application Process
Complete the official College Application Form (online or paper-based).
Submit certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates.
Pay the non-refundable application fee: 50,000 SSP.
Receive exam schedule and instructions for the CPCEE.Attend the Entrance Exam on the assigned date.
Wait for admission decision, which is based on exam results and program-specific criteria.
6. Selection Criteria
Admission decisions will consider:
CPCEE scores (mandatory and decisive)
Interview (optional, program-dependent for leadership or research potential)
Motivation and alignment with College’s academic rigor and values
Note: Meeting minimum CPCEE scores does not guarantee admission if seats are limited. Admission is competitive based on ranking.
7. Special Considerations
Mature Applicants: Applicants over 25 years of age without traditional academic credentials may apply under a mature entry scheme and must complete the CPCEE.
International Applicants: Must submit equivalency certifications recognized by the College and complete the CPCEE.
Transfer Students: May transfer up to 50% of credits from other institutions, subject to College review and CPCEE competency verification.
8. Registration & Confirmation
Admitted students must confirm acceptance by submitting registration forms and paying the first semester tuition fees.
Failure to complete registration within the prescribed deadline will forfeit the admission offer.
Students may defer admission for one academic year, subject to written approval.
9. Policy Principles
Equity: All applicants are assessed on the same criteria regardless of prior school or socioeconomic background.
Academic Rigor: Entrance testing ensures that all admitted students meet the high standards necessary for college-level teaching.
Transparency: The admission process is clearly defined, documented, and publicly available.
Meritocracy: Admission is based on demonstrated ability rather than certificates alone.
Readiness for Practice-Based Learning: Applicants must show the aptitude to engage in hands-on labs, projects, and applied exercises.
10. Review and Appeals
Applicants may request a review of examination scoring within 7 days of results release.
Appeals are handled by the Admissions Review Committee, whose decision is final and binding.
11. Effective Date
This policy is effective from Academic Year 2026/2027 and supersedes any previous admission guidelines.
