1. Course Description
This course provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in television and video production for broadcast, online, and multimedia environments. Students develop competencies in programme planning, scriptwriting, camera operation, lighting, audio production, directing, studio production, field production, post-production, and digital video distribution.
The course examines the television production process from concept development through pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution. Students gain hands-on experience producing news bulletins, interviews, documentaries, magazine programmes, talk shows, and promotional videos using professional production equipment and industry-standard editing software.
Practical studio and field sessions simulate professional television production environments, emphasising teamwork, technical proficiency, editorial judgement, and adherence to ethical, legal, and broadcast standards.
The course prepares students for advanced practice in television journalism, broadcast production, documentary filmmaking, multimedia production, digital broadcasting, and corporate video production.
