CERTIFICATE IN NETWORK ADMINISTRATION AND CYBERSECURITY AT CLARITY PEAK COLLEGE
Programme Description
The Certificate in Network Administration and Cybersecurity at Clarity Peak College is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to install, configure, secure, administer, and troubleshoot modern computer networks and information systems. The programme provides a strong foundation in networking technologies, operating systems, computer architecture, cybersecurity principles, and systems administration, preparing graduates to support and protect organisational IT infrastructure.
Participants develop practical competencies in network design, IP addressing, routing and switching concepts, operating system administration, network security, cybersecurity risk management, system maintenance, user administration, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools and technologies. The curriculum integrates theoretical concepts with extensive hands-on laboratory experience, enabling learners to configure local area networks (LANs), connect devices, manage servers and workstations, implement network security measures, and respond to common cybersecurity threats.
Through interactive lectures, practical computer laboratory sessions, network simulations, configuration exercises, case studies, and an applied capstone project, participants gain real-world experience in administering computer networks, maintaining secure computing environments, and implementing cybersecurity best practices across public, private, educational, and development organisations.
The programme is suitable for secondary school graduates, ICT professionals, government employees, business organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), humanitarian agencies, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking professional competence in network administration and cybersecurity.
Graduates will be well prepared to support organisational IT infrastructure, maintain secure network environments, troubleshoot networking problems, and pursue further academic study and professional certifications in networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, systems administration, and related computing disciplines.
