CERTIFICATE IN ENGINEERING DRAWING AND COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN (CAD) AT CLARITY PEAK COLLEGE
Programme Description
The Certificate in Engineering Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) at Clarity Peak College is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to produce, interpret, and manage technical engineering drawings using both conventional drafting techniques and industry-standard Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The programme provides a solid foundation in engineering graphics, technical drawing standards, geometric construction, engineering visualisation, CAD modelling, and engineering documentation for civil engineering and related technical disciplines.
Participants develop practical competencies in engineering sketching, orthographic projection, dimensioning, sectional views, construction detailing, computer-aided drafting, drawing interpretation, and preparation of engineering drawings in accordance with internationally accepted engineering standards. The curriculum combines theoretical principles with extensive practical laboratory sessions, CAD workshops, engineering drawing exercises, and project-based learning to prepare graduates for professional practice in engineering and construction environments.
Through interactive lectures, drawing studio sessions, computer laboratory exercises, guided software demonstrations, engineering projects, and an applied capstone project, participants gain hands-on experience in preparing engineering drawings for buildings, roads, drainage systems, surveying works, and other civil engineering infrastructure.
The programme is suitable for secondary school graduates, engineering technicians, construction professionals, architects, survey technicians, government employees, contractors, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking specialised skills in engineering drawing and computer-aided design.
Graduates will be well prepared to support engineering design offices, consulting firms, construction companies, government agencies, surveying firms, and infrastructure development projects while establishing a strong foundation for further academic study and professional advancement in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, Construction Management, and related engineering disciplines.
